Hi friends,
                  My next most amazing experience is about RANBIRESHWAR TEMPLE. This temple is one of the most famous and biggest SHIV TEMPLE in Jammu. This temple was built by MAHARAJA RANBIR SINGH in 1883. It is very ancient shrine located in SHALIMAR road. This temple is decorated with the images of the LORD GANESHA, KARTIKEYA, NANDI BULL and highlight here is the mammoth 8 ft tall LORD SHIVA LINGAM which is made up of Black marble looming high in the sanctum of the temple. 



This temple is enshrining 12 SHIVLINGS in crystal, measuring 15 cm to 38 cm and galleries with 1.25 lac 'bona lingam' which has  brought from NARMADA RIVER. These SHIVLINGS are 18 inches high and 12 inches wide. The idol of NANDI is made by brass and weight around 1000 kg. 



This temple is best tourist place in Jammu. We can see a lot of stalls outside the temple where people sell flowers and bel patra the devotees take to this temple. A large number devotees visit this temple to offer prayers. The devotees also pour water along with milk on SHIVLINGAM which is great religious significance in HINDU religion. This temple is a sign of peace and serenity. The best time to visit is during the AARTI in the morning and evening. 




All the festivals are celebrated in this temple especially the festival of MAHA SHIVRATRI at grand level. Inside the temple, there is no allowance of any kind of gadgets like camera and mobile. This temple is located at distance of 3 km from Jammu railway station and around 8 km away from the Jammu airport. Its timing is 6 am to 8 pm. This temple is dedicated to LORD SHIVA who is a part of  the holy trinity of HINDU mythology.

                      RAGHUNATH TEMPLE Let me share my experience of the most precious place in Jammu region of J&K which is an HINDU TEMPLE. It is located in the jammu city. The place where this temple is situated is called RAGHUNATH BAZAR. It consist of 7 hindu shrines.  HISTORY                   RAGHUNATH TEMPLE was constructed by MAHARAJA GULAAB SINGH in the year 1835 and later his son MAHARAJA RANBIR SINGH completed its construction in the year 1860.
