BABA CHAMLIYAL
BABA CHAMLIYAL
Hello guys,
Let me share my another experience which is shrine on zero line of INDO-PAK border where hundred or thousand pilgrims from both INDIA as well as PAKISTAN visit. Like other borders, the border in the Ramgarh sector has remained quite volatile.
The border given the name 'CHAMLIYAL BORDER' Because it is situated near the CHAMLIYAL village and this place was also known for the powerful saint ''BABA CHAMLIYAL''.
BABA CHAMLIYAL real name was BABA DALIP SINGH MANHAS. He was a saint who lived in a village called CHAMLIYAL. He use to give water to thirsty travellers and to work for the welfare of the needy people. His good deeds made him very popular among people but he was killed by few people(at the village of Saidawali situated in PAKISTAN) who did'nt accept his popularity. The head of the BABA DALIP SINGH MANHAS fell far away from the place of his assassination whereas the rest of his body remained at SAIDAWALI.
INDO-PAK BORDER LINE
After the death of BABA, the people of the area constructed two shrines in him name. One shrine is called as CHAMLIYAL, near DUGG village of VIJAYPUR ( SAMBA) where his head was fell, and another shrine of the baba was made at the SAIBAWALI ( PAKISTAN).
The beautiful shrine is also known as ''DARGAAH''. Some people has a strong belief that miracles is associated with BABA'S power to cure people suffering from skin diseases whereas many applied soil popularly known as Sharbat on their bodies for some days and free from all diseases which could not be cured with application of usual mediction.
The distance of shrine CHAMLIYAL is about 45 km from Jammu. In this place, a huge MELA is held in the month of June every year where the devotees come from the state or outside the state and few people from PAKISTAN also come to take shakar. They takes a parikrama of the shrine and touch the chadar as part of the rituals of the shrine. The colour of the chadar is green. For the devotees, the chadar is a symbol of the BABA'S identity which is a matter of celebration. The pahalwans(wrestlers) also come to the shrine to take the blessings of the BABA CHAMLIYAL.
SO GUYS THIS IS ALL ABOUT THIS SACRED PLACE AND ALSO SOURCE OF FRIENDLY RELATION WITH OUR NIEGHBOUR COUNTRY PAKISTAN. THIS IS MY PERSONAL SUGGESTION TO EVERY READER TO VISIT HERE ONCE.
THANKYOU..........
