Hello friends let me share my another experience on Jammu's beauty. Now I want you to know that it is an historical fort in the city of Jammu. Bahu fort was constructed by Raja Bahucholan over 3000 years ago. It is situated on the banks of Tawi River. It is one of the oldest monument in the jammu city. It was first renovated by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh in 18th century during sikh rule....

                         
                         
  


The final version of Bahu Fort was built by Maharaja Gulab Singh in recent 19th century with the minor changes made by Maharaja Ranbir Singh during his rule. The Fort bank with an average elevation of 325m (1066ft). It was initially built with Brick and Limestone.But it is rebuilding with high quality sandstone. It open at 6:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 p.m. The minimum time required to see the Bahu fort's beauty is about 2-3 hours


ABOUT BAHU PARK

Firstly Bahu  Park  have an entry  ticket. Bahu  Park is a beautiful and popular garden covered with greenery all around. There is grand Fountains, lake and large Aquarium. Tourists and local enjoys the beauty of Bahu Park with peace, serenity and romantic vibes. It presents a relaxing time for them. It is surrounded by colourful flowers. 

 
  

There is an underground aquarium and 24 aquarium caves and 13 small caves holding fresh water and marine water fishes. It has an art equipment, gallery, laboratory and museum and home to over 400 species of fresh water and marine fish. The grenery of the park making it a more attraction on the trip of Jammu. This bahu garden is located 5 kms from the Jammu city center.
                               
                  

MAHAKALI TEMPLE
There is also a Bahu temple and it is situated inside  the bahu fort which is popularly known as BAWA WAALI MATA or MAHAKALI TEMPLE.  This temple is raised at a height of 1.2 mt (3.9 ft) . There is also Bahu fair organised twice a year during Navaratras. Now temple priest perform a few rituals and sprinkles holy water over a goat before setting it free as a symbolic rendition of  the sacrifice. This ritual isd known as SHILLI CHARANA. 


There is aslo a lot of  shops and stalls. People of Jammu has a strong belief that BAWE WAALI MATA is always protecting jammu city from external dangers and threats. This was also constructed by Raja Bahulochan over 3000 years ago. There is a large group of monkeys which is fed people with sweets, grams etc. Sweet dish is also made by devotees called Kadah after their wishes are fulfilled by godess MAHA KALI. Bahu temple is controlled by governement of Jammu and Kashmir.
